Among all our altitude trekking itineraries, there are some which belong to another category: kora treks.

A kora is a religious pilgrimage that consists in revolving clockwise around a sacred place. We talk about a circumambulating pilgrimage. These sacred places can be a stuppa, a temple, a city, a monastery...or a mountain!

Tibetan culture has four sacred mountains that stand out of the crowd because of their altitude, and the strength that comes out of them. They are considered the residency of divinity and it is forbidden to climb most of them.

Three of these four mountains lie outside of Tibet autonomous province boundaries and are thus accessible with no restrictions for foreigners.

We invite you to walk with us these sacred pilgrimage routes and feel the religious fervor of the Tibetan people.
