North Yunnan & Tiger Leaping Gorge

The north east of Yunnan is a region with an incredible variety. From the green valley of Dali on the shores of lake Erhai to the Tibetan plateau and Shangri-La, the alpine landscapes change from one extreme to the other, and the valleys are all populated by different fascinating ethnic groups.

From the Bai world in Dali and Shaxi to the Tibetan plateau, passing by the land of the Naxi in Lijiang and the Gorges, whether you decide to come with friends or family, a trip to "China minorities world" is always a special moment for everyone.

D1: visit the old town of Weishan and easy hike in Weibao taoist mountain.

D2: day hike in Cangshan mountain over Dali, and visit the old town.

​

D3: old villages of Xizhou et Shaxi.

​

D4: day hike and visit of the buddhist temples in Shibao mountain.

​

D5: Lijiang old town, villages of Shuhe and Baisha.

 

D6: first hiking day in Tiger Leaping Gorge.

​

D7: end of our hike in the Gorge and drive to Shangri-La.

​

D8: hike in Shangri-La surroundings, visit Songzanlin monastery.
